Helping Everyone Live Longer will now have a permanent location starting in May. From now on we’ll be located at The Community Spoke! in Jamaica Plain. The Community Spoke! offers free bike repair and instruction.
You can pick up a helmet during The Spoke’s open hours starting May 5, which are Tuesdays from 6-9PM and the first Sunday of each month from 3-6PM.
This weekend was such an incredible success beyond anything we could have hoped for. We raised over $3000 with the two shows this weekend for H.E.L.L. with about 500 people coming over the two nights.
Highlights from the two nights were Think Again playing their set all wearing helmets, the crazy reaction that Tiger’s Jaw got, incredible vegan baked good from Sabertooth Bakery, free Maine Root sodas, and two massive raffles that left everyone happy. We have pictures from all them up on our facebook here.
None of this would have been possible without Justin Gonyea and Get Stoked! records who put an incredible amount of time and work into both the record and the show. A giant thank you goes out to him. Also every single band who drove from other states without asking for gas money, Kimberly, and every single person who came out and supported us. It really means so much to have everyone’s support this weekend.
Check out Hate5six.com, and future-breed.com for more photos and videos from the weekend, and keep your eyes peeled for more H.E.L.L events in the next few months. Hit us up at email@example.com if you need a helmet, or just have a sweet idea to contribute to H.E.L.L.

Hey all you digital age ipod kids, want to hear One H.E.L.L. of a Compilation? You can download it for a $5 minimum donation at http://onehellofacompilation.bandcamp.com/.
Also, I’ve put up a few leftovers of the pre-order color plus another colorway (solid white, limited to 159 copies) up on the GetStoked! store http://getstoked.storenvy.com/.
If you’re going to the release show next weekend, I’ll have both colors, plus a 3rd colorway only available at the record release (solid black, limited to 54 copies) plus a few test presses that will be in the raffle.
The record release show is coming up and are hard at work on it. Stereo State sadly can’t play and Think Again hopped on in their place to play their final Boston show before they call it quits. We have been pulling together some great raffles for the weekends with prizes from Burro Bags, Cambridge Bikes, Fyxation, Seagull Bags, Knog Lights, Primal Strips, Tofurkey
H.E.L.L. has been around since 2007 and has always been run by just one person and because of the huge workload of running it alone, has waxed and waned with some hiatuses. Since July, H.E.L.L. has been on one of those hiatuses with school, work and life forcing me (Andrew) to put H.E.L.L. on the back burner for a few months.
H.E.L.L. is now back, and for the first time it is being run as a group project by Andrew Murray, Cea Davis, Leigh Zoto, and Ben Smart. We all come from different places, and with different reasons but all with the same goal of keeping and growing H.E.L.L. in Boston.
Our friends at Get Stoked! records have been working with us to put together a benefit compilation. The tracklist and preorders are up at getstokedrecords.com and we will be having the record release on Feb 25 and 26th at the Democracy Center in Cambridge.
Come join us in kicking off the new H.E.L.L. with raffles, new t-shirts, food, and of course free helmets!
-Andrew Leigh, Ben and Cea
P.S. I am really sorry to anyone who put in a hellmet request after July that never got a response, if you still need a hellmet please come get one at the record release shows, or email us again after that weekend -Andrew
“Get Stoked! Records will be releasing “One H.E.L.L. of a Compilation”, a collection of music from friends of Gordon and Kelly, bands they liked, as well as people that may have known someone else who got into a bike accident or just want to support H.E.L.L.’s mission. The compilation is really diverse and is from musicians from all over including Boston, other parts of Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Florida, and New York. A bunch of songs on the comp will be exclusive, new, and rare songs.
The compilation will be released on CD and hopefully a very limited run on vinyl (most likely it’ll be a 2 or 3 LP set). Not only is it a collaborative music project, but there are also 10+ artists that are contributing artwork that will be included in the insert along with bike safety information.
There isn’t a release date at the moment. We’re still waiting on some bands to submit music and are working on the artwork. We hope to start pre-sales sometime in the next few months. In the meantime, here’s a list of some of the confirmed bands. There are more bands to come!”
Get Stoked! records are a independent non-profit record label from VT. Check out their site for the track listing for the comp, its gonna rule. http://www.getstokedrecords.com
